DESIGN GOALS

The design goal is to create a solution for the target group that relives the following:

Painpoints:

  • They are not interested in politics, they "do not care" and are very apathetic towards politics

  • They are not "aware" of the impact they have on the society and voting.

  • They are in transition in their personal lives and "do not know" about local elections

  • They sometimes have easy access to voting but "do not utilize" it

  • They are at times "influenced" by family and friends to vote or not

NEEDS

The following needs were found from the target group interviews

  • They "want to make a difference" in the society and they have certain issues that they care about

  • They are trying to become a part of the society, and "create roots" where they begin jobs

  • They want to "be proud" that they contribute

  • They "want to find" a candidate that aligns with issues important to them

USER PERCEPTIONS

It was uncovered that the following is important for the well-being of the target group

  • That they make a connection to the society

  • They are growing roots

  • They are contributing to issues affecting them

  • Aesthetic attributes discovered that are important to them :

  1. Simple, clean and pleasing to eyes,

  2. Has an edge to set it apart, make it exciting

  • Social attributes discovered : 

  1. They leave with social satisfaction​

  2. Ease of use : they need to be easy, otherwise they will not think it is worth their time

  • Physical attributes that the solution MUST contain :

  1. the solution will solve that pain points of needing a solution to be easy to use and satisfying​

  2. It will be free, fun and take minimum amount of time

  3. It will be shareable and needs to gain popularity, possibly even gaining celebrity support

  • Functional attributes that needs to be accommodated :

  1. Not only does the solution have the possibility to become viral, it is necessary and that is why the solution should be as shareable as possible

  2. It needs to be easily shareable across all media platforms, including all social media

  3. It should not show any bias towards a particular candidate or political party

CONSTRAINTS

Following constrains were discovered from the process for the solution development

  • needs to be completed by the upcoming presidential elections

  • has certain regulatory concerns like :

  1. privacy must be the top concern when creating the solution and its shareable ​attributes

  2. It must be unbiased and all who participate in creating the offering must also be unbiased

  3. It must be free for all users, which also means that all money used to create the offering must be "clean money"

  4. It must be a separate entity from the US government
